Catherine has worked as a Speech and Language Therapist for over 20 years. During this time, she has  been lucky enough to work across the United Kingdom and New Zealand. Catherine began her career working in the NHS. During this time, she has experienced many different setting including acute hospitals, stroke  rehabilitation units and community services.

She specialised in Acquired Neurological Conditions early in her professional life and has developed highly specialist skills managing communication and swallowing difficulties.

Catherine offers the most up-to-date  and evidence based intervention for  clients and has had a keen interest in research. Her MSc dissertation focused on treatment methods for Aphasia and more recently she has been involved with the National Institute for Health Research. She has a special interest in Aphasia and Cognitive Communication Disorder.

Catherine believes that intervention should be highly personalised and goal driven. She recognises that every client and situation is unique. She often works with families and is keen to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Catherine is a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Association of Speech and Language Therapist in Independent practice. She’s also registered with the Healthcare Professions Council.
